Form (Last 5 / Last 10)
Form is a team or player's performance over a recent window of matches — most commonly the last 5 or last 10. For teams it is shown as a sequence of W/D/L results; for players it is per-90 averages of the relevant stat (goals, shots, tackles, ratings).
Why form is over-weighted by casual bettors
Recent form is one of the most over-weighted inputs in casual prediction — a team on a 5-match winning streak feels unbeatable. The reality is more nuanced: streaks regress, and underlying xG is usually a much better predictor of the *next* match than the last 5 results.
Final3rd weights recent form into every prediction but caps its influence so that hot or cold streaks do not blow up the model. Hot teams get a small boost; underlying performance still does most of the work.
